The CPR Skills project helped local businesses become more successful by equipping their workforce with the skills they need. Funded by the Learning and Skills Council and the European Social Fund, the project began in May 2006 and ended in December 2007.

CPR Skills staff have developed and run a number of bespoke team leader training programmes which are recognised by the Institue of Leadership and Management.

By December 2007 the project had worked with 25 individuals of whom 9 achieved a part qualification at NVQ Level 2 or above and 6 achieved a full qualification at NVQ Level 2 or above. In addition, staff developed over 50 workforce development plans for small and medium size local businesses. All contractual targets were exceeded.

CPR Regeneration's aim is to continue this successful project and staff are working within the Convergence framework to help achieve this.

Nine local business people are awarded certificates by Nigel Tipple, chief executive of CPR Regeneration, following their completion of the Team Leader training programme.
