Ensuring that any new development or construction in the Trevenson Road area of Pool is of the highest design quality is behind a special exhibition being held in Pool.
The exhibition, will be open to all and is being held on behalf of English Partnerships, the national regeneration agency, and CPR Regeneration, the urban regeneration company for Camborne, Pool and Redruth. It will seek comments and opinions to help establish strict codes of design. These codes will become mandatory for developers working with English Partnerships in this area.
Advertisements and invitations have been circulated to the community to attend the exhibition which will be held on 9 July at the Berlewen Building off Trevenson Road, Camborne from 2:00pm - 7:30pm
One theme of the exhibition will be learning from the local area to help make new development locally distinctive. Other elements will be considering the design and layout of streets to ensure they create attractive, safe and accessible neighbourhoods.
David Warburton, English Partnerships' Director for the South West, said: "Knowing what people want to see in their area will help shape the design codes and will ultimately contribute toward the quality of the existing neighbourhood.
"Design codes help to give a greater impression of how new developments might look. They are subject to rigorous consultation with stakeholders and the public to ensure that we get it right."
