Redruth Farmers' Market starts this week

Redruth's town Mayor, Cllr Barbara Ellenbroek, will officially open the new weekly Farmers' Market, which starts in the town this week (Friday June 20th).

The town crier will also be joining in the celebrations at Market Place, under Redruth clock tower, with traders from across the local area.

For the first week, 19 different traders are confirmed, offering delicious homemade cakes, speciality breads, local meat and fresh fruit and vegetables.

As well as the tasty food stalls other traders will be selling wooden products, plants and pottery.

Stuart Allen, Redruth Town Market manager said he is delighted with the number of traders signed up for the first week.

"With a variety of traders signed up there will be something for everyone. The new weekly market should bring back the traditional market town atmosphere to Redruth."

Matt Powell, Business Growth Manager at CPR Regeneration, the urban regeneration company for Camborne, Pool and Redruth, works closely with local retailers and other businesses in the area and says the high level of interest in the market is really positive.

"It's great to see so many local traders coming together and offering visitors to Redruth further choice, so we're hoping that locals and visitors alike will show their support and come and see what's on offer."

The Farmers' Market will be held every Friday from 9am.
